I actually started freelancing while I was working at my corporate job. I took courses and would work late into the evening and on weekends to gain more experience in my niche. I went on maternity leave and when my daughter was 6 months old, I wrote my business plan and started designing my own website. I launched my business after my mat leave was over and have never looked back!
